A westbound No. 12 Roosevelt bus collided with two vehicles Tuesday morning on the Near West side. The accident took place at West Roosevelt Road and South Blue Island Avenue, just outside Saint Ignatius College Prep.

Preliminary reports indicated that the bus was stopped at an intersection when it was struck by a car.

One person was taken from the scene in serious to critical condition. Nearly two dozen other people were taken to area hospitals in conditions ranging from fair to serious.
