Barry grew up in Evanston and attended the University of Michigan, where he received his undergraduate degree. After college, he attended Loyola University of Chicago School of Law where he received his law degree with honors in 1994. While attending law school, he received a number of academic awards. Upon graduation, he practiced law with a number of Chicago area plaintiff's personal injury firms before opening his own firm in June, 2004. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. He is a past chair of the Tort (Personal Injury) Litigation Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar association. He is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. He has tried many matters to verdict in jury trials, bench trials, and/or binding arbitration hearings. His entire practice is devoted to the representation of victims of negligence and their families in motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, construction accidents, dog bite cases, medical malpractice, products liability, and nursing home abuse and neglect cases.
